SENIOR PASTOR: Pastor Jim was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. He is a graduate of Grove City College with a B.A. in history, and a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, in 1983. Jim and his wife Pam were married one year following their graduation from Grove City and have four children: Andy, Josiah, Sam, and Grace. Most of Jim's ministry has been spent as a pastor in Mercer County churches. His own experience of Jesus Christ's life-transforming power fuels him with the desire to see others come into a personal relationship with Christ, grow in their walk with Him, and discover and fulfill God's purposes for their lives. Jim and his family share a passion for running, and he serves as a volunteer coach for distance runners at Grove City College in the spring.

COMMISSIONED LAY PASTOR: Sue grew up in the Mercer area and has always enjoyed the beauty of Western PA. Sue and her husband, Dave, have enjoyed doing many things together over the years, especially the time spent raising their five children; Patrick, Jesse, Matthew, Katie and Kristi. Sue became a member of the Pastoral Staff in 1995 as the Prayer Coordinator and after completing her studies through Pittsburgh Theological Seminary became commissioned as a Lay Pastor at Bethany Presbyterian Church in 2005. As a Lay Pastor, Sue's primary focus is helping to oversee the Pastoral Care Ministry, while continuing her involvement with the Prayer Ministry and with the Deacon Board's Table Ministry.
